The St. George’s Castle in Kefalonia

St. George’s Castle is a historical fortress located on the island of Kefalonia, in Greece. The castle was built in the 16th century by the Venetians, in order  to protect the island from invaders. It is perched on top of a hill, overlooking the village of Peratata and the surounding countryside.
