Bekatorata is a small traditional village in the northern part of the island and it is only 4 km away from Agia Efimia village. There, drowned in the deep green of the area, there are a few pre-earthquake houses that were not destroyed by the strong earthquake that hit Kefalonia in 1953 and are kept in good condition; in the village though the visitor can also see new houses with their tidy courtyards and gardens.
