Lakithra is one of the most beautiful villages of Kefalonia with about 600 residents. It is built amphitheatrically and it offers visitors, especially in the Kallithea location, a panoramic view of the Ionian Sea, the small island of Dias and Zakynthos Island.
The village has a large square where they frequently organize various events, a church, a mini market, restaurants and cafes and a range of accommodation such as apartments, villas and hotels.
In the village we can visit the Rock of Lord Byron, where the poet gazing at the open sea inspired poems. Also in a short distance from the Rock, excavations have brought to light four Mycenaean chamber tombs with gold jewelry and vases.
