Skala is located at the southern tip of the island and is about 35 km from Argostoli. In many ways the wider area of Livathos is one of the most beautiful areas of Kefalonia located in the southwestern part of Kefalonia. Livathos or Livatho, consists of about 20 villages, one competing with the other in natural beauty, beaches and attractions. To the west and north, Livathos, which is a manorial area with a great cultural tradition, borders the Municipality of Argostoli, while the permanent population is about 4,500 inhabitants, many of whom are English nationals.

Agia Efimia is also one of the most beautiful villages of Kefalonia, located in the northern part of the island, just 9 km from Sami and 34 km from Argostoli.
The village is built by the sea and offers all amenities for the visitor. It is known for its fish taverns and cafes, where one can enjoy his/her food or coffee, overlooking the beautiful sea. It also has a diving center for sea lovers. The visitor has the opportunity to stay in rented rooms or in well-kept hotels in the village. The port of Ag. Sami is a small town and one of the largest ports on the island that connects Kefalonia with Patras, Ithaca, Astakos and cities in Italy. It is built in the eastern part of the island, at a distance of 22 km from Argostoli.
Its geographical location offers the visitor an incredible view since it is built at the bottom of a bay and around it there are green mountains. Lixouri is located on the Paliki peninsula, built on the coast opposite Argostoli, at a distance of 34 km; communication with the capital city Argostoli, is by ferry boat or by car. It is the second most populous city of Kefalonia with 3,750 permanent residents.
